For this project we were instructed to create a 16 page publication. I chose to focus on the topic of the Resting Bitch Face. I wanted to create a book that is humorous but also involved social commentary. I wanted it to be a female empowerment book targeted towards younger millenial and generation Z females. I created illustrations of females and included quotes to add typography to the book. I wanted to use risograph printing for this book because I wanted to learn a new skill and enhance my illustrations. I used pink paper for the cover and white for the inside. The book will be 8.5” x 5.5” and includes a sticker. I also printed 3 prints to be sold with this book as well. This zine was supposed to be exhibited at Printer Matter Los Angles, and Seattle Art Book Fair but those events were cancelled due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
